Tampon problem….help?

I just put in a Playtex Gentle Glide Regular Absorbency Tampon, and the size/flow is fine. The problem is that I can feel it like crazy! I have put tampons in millions of times before and it’s always the same problem- i can feel it. This time, i even tried pushing it up farther with the applicator AND with my finger. my finger was in almost all the way and apparently its "still not in far enough". i don’t know what else to do. it is kind of stinging and i feel awkward and i feel like it is leaking and it has only been in for 20 minutes. I tried standing up this time also instead of sitting down. when i am putting it in it kind of looks a little titled, but i think that’s because i’m using my right hand and not both hands. What should i do?! I can’t stand this anymore!!! I need to learn how to use tampons correctly! I put it in until my fingers touched my body and pused it in. when i push it in it hurts. like from the second i start pushing it. maybe i’m not pusing the tube fast enough? help me please:( this is a huge problem.

first time tampon use…?

So i have tried like 8 times now and am really getting frustrated. I know you’re supposed to relax and i probably am not, but for some reason the thought of anything being in my body makes me want to puke. Whenever i do it, it goes in pretty smooth the first part of the applicator but i can never push the actual tampon in. [this is so awkward, but i really need to ask...] Is it possible that i am like aiming for the wrong spot or something? It really starts to hurt and then i get all tense and just have to stop. I feel like i have tried so many times that i will never get it right and just have to never have sex. laksdhfkansdfkansd! it is very frustrating. I’ve been to a gyno before so i doubt there’s anything wrong with me otherwise she would say, but do you guys have any advice?

Can you push a tampon in too far?

I have had my period for a while and have been using tampons from the start. When I put the applicator in, I go until my fingers are touching my body, ya know like the directions say. Then when I push the tampon out, I push about halfway down, and it feels like it can’t go in anymore and if I push more, it hurts a bit. So I usually just continue pushing the tampon out, but at the same time taking the applicator out, so I don’t push the tampon in further.

I don’t know if that was confusing, but I just wanna know if it’s bad if I continue to push, even though it feels kinda wierd and it feels like I’m not going anywhere. What am I hitting? I just don’t know if it’s a bad thing if I kept pushing.
Do you get that?
Haha thanks.
And please only answer if you are a girl who has had experience with tampons before.

Please help with tampons!!?

Okay so every time I insert a tampon, I can feel the very end of it, not the string, but the end of it. My mom says even though i’m putting it in, It’s not at the right angle. It feels like when i’m sitting down the end is poking the inside of the wall and it’s soooooo uncomfortable it’s really hard to sleep. I’ve been using plastic applicators, the slim kind, and when I go to put it in I hold the grip part with my thumb and middle finger and push until my fingers are outside my body, and since it’s not been feeling right, i’ve been putting my fingers inside just a little bit and then using my fore finger to push it in. Is there anything I can do? Please help, even my mom has tried inserting it. The first time I couldn’t feel anything, but now every time I put it in I can. Please, any advice is welcome, this is really tearing me apart and i’ve had so many melt downs and sobbings over this, and kind comments only please.

Tampons weird me out… help please!?

I’m scared of tampons, but I am able to use them…..
I really WANT to like tampons, cause of my heavy flow.
But here’s the scoop. The tampon going in is painless, like it slides right in, that’s not the problem.
The thing is everytime I insert a tampon, it’s NEVER high enough no matter what I do, so it killlls when it’s inside me when I walk or sit down! Like actually, wtf, I’ve used them 6 times and everytime I can feel them inside.

So the last 2 periods I chickend out to use them cause I was scared I wouldn’t put them in high enough and they would hurt and be uncomfy.

So, how can I reassure myself that I will be able to get it in right next time? And also, how can I be able to know I will actually get it in high enough, I insert with one leg on the toilet seat until my fingers are touching my body, so what’s the problem?

Has anybody else ever felt this way, I feel like I’m the only person who can use tampons but am scared of them but want to use them still. :(

*i’ve used tampax compak and playtex gentle glide in light and regular abosrbencies, so that’s not the problem.
would playtex sport be better? I only want to use applicators and im not interested in diva cup*

Is the Playtex Gentle Glide Slender tampon actually smaller in size?

I’m thinking about trying Playtex Gentle Glide Slender tampons because the Tampax Pearl really hurt taking out. I figured since they open all around, removal would be less painful since it’s not scratching against your body when it opens only width wise. Anyways, is the actual TAMPON of Playtex Gentle Glide Slender, not the applicator, the same size as Playtex Gentle Glide Regulars? I’ve heard it both ways, but I would like to know if the tampon part expands to the size of the regular ones, or if it is smaller in proportion. Also, if any of you have tried the Slender kind and tampax pearl, did you feel less discomfort removing the Playtex Slender ones?

Did my hymen…like already break??

okk personal story long long time ago i was probably 9ish 10ish.just exploring my body. i remember i was playin with a tampon and just stuck it n up on there. and i dont remember it hurting or anything but idk what i did but somehow i had gotten the…applicator stuck..so i pushed and pushed and FINALLY got it out.i remember i bled for like a day or so and idk it wa sjust all weird and bloody. yess i am a virgin and i have notcied that i just i dont have my hymen anymore. do u think thats what happend?

Tampon help-pain!?

Basically, I used a tampon for the first time on my last period.

I read the instructions etc and managed to insert it (I got the Tampax ones that are recommended for teens. ie plastic applicator, slim) Anyway I started to walk and I was in the most excrutiating pain. It was like something was pushing really hard against my perinium. I had really sharp pains.

I tried to remove it but i couldnt get it out. It was stuck (I gather that this is because it soaks up vaginal moisture so you have to wait for it to get wet to remove) I got in the shower and soaked it. I then finally managed to pull it out. Very painful.

What am I doing wrong? Is there something wrong with my body?
I really want to use tampons, they seem so much better than using pads.
Thanks
When a tampon is in can you feel it at all?

All my questions on inserting a tampon, after my first unsuccessful attempt?

I just spent 1/2 hour in the toilet today, trying to insert a damn tampon for the first time, but only getting all hot and bothered. So coming off from that experience, i have a few questions for experienced users

I’m currently trying to use Playtex’s plastic applicator superabsorbency,

1) I used a handheld mirror to see where is the vagina hole, the thing is,it doesn’t look like a hole!(only the urethra does),and i tried inserting the tampon with one leg up the toilet seat,it seems i got the hole correct, but the tampon won’t go in!How do I know i’ve got the correct hole?Should I try squatting instead?is it easier? If i do so,i could look into the mirror, and it opens up my vagina at the same time
2)Speaking of which,is it better to start feeling ‘down there’ first when I’m not having my period? To familiarise myself with all the 3 holes, and with my body?
3) how the heck do i push the tampon in?in which direction? stop saying ‘towards the small of my back’ cuz i don’t know what that means
4) Is it a must to use my hands to open up my vagina lips? I can’t insert the tampon in just by spreading my legs?

5) Is it easier if I spread my legs as wide as possible?

6) Is it important to be relaxed? Does it really constrict the muscles in my vaginal walls and make it that much harder to insert the tampon in?

7) Lastly, can I keep trying with the same tampon until i succeed? It’s not THAT unhygienic right??
yeah, where’s everyone?? I’m waiting for some answers right now! I just bought my first box of tampons yesterday, and my period just arrived today! So it’s a good time for me to practice practice practice:D but i need some help from you girls first!
and no one i know uses tampons (including my mum)
i don’t have enough space in my toilet to lie down….hahah…and wht tampons were u using, regular ones? i think my superabsorbency is a bit too big :( I attempted a 2nd time today, to even lesser success

exactly what angle/direction should i insert it in? straight up? 45 degrees towards me, away from me, etc?
