I need to loose a lot of weight. Since starting a new medication in the summer I have gained 30 pounds. I can not stop taking the med, its not an option and I have been put on a pill that increases my sensitivity to insulin to decrease appetite as well as an oral contraceptive, which some of my friends say increases weight too.

I have joined a gym recently but still have not much clue on what to do there. My current routine is 30 min on the ellipse and then 15-25 on the cycle then 15 minutes of abs.I work a lot and do not have much time for the gym. Does any one have specific answers on a good gym routine especially for thighs hips tummy love handles and upper harms that can be done in an hour or so at the gym.,

Obviously exercise is not enough, I need a strict and specific diet but have no one to consult because I am not made out of money. I cant use weight loss products like hydroxy cut because of the nature of the medications i am on. Can anyone help?

They say more and more Americans are working a second job or have ways that they make a second income via a sideline business or other money making scheme. How about you? Do you have a second job or sideline business that gives you additional income over your regular full time gig? What is it and how much do you make?

I asked the same question in Law & Ethics. Here is the thing. One of my friends is a foreign student from South Korea. She entered into the States on a Student Visa, and now lives in her apartment in New York, but somehow she has also rented a small three-story building with more than 10 rooms as her "second" apartment, and literally gets cash by subletting each room to other Koreans without creating any sublease contract or paying income tax.

As far as I know, she has been doing this kind of business for the past two years. It might be OK for a foreign student to make some money by subletting his/her apartment only for a short period of time, let’s say, during the Summer recess or something, in order to pay the rent. However, I believe this is a totally difference case.

I’m wondering if it were legal for a foreign student to earn extra income by renting and subletting a second apartment over a long period of time without paying income tax.

My male, neutered cat is about 3-4 yrs old and he has a big bald patch on his underside that is red, swollen and apparently itchy because he is always licking at it. Also small scabs elsewhere on his body from itching and scratching. Other symptoms include weight loss and (sometimes) difficulty keeping food down (but that seems to be better since I changed food brands.) I originally thought the problems were due to fleas but I have treated him for that and I haven’t seen any fleas on him since then but the problems persist. Honestly, I can’t afford to take him to a vet because money is very tight right now and spending hundreds of dollars on a pet compared to paying bills and putting food on the table for my children– well, I truly feel bad for him but that’s not a priority right now. Still, I’d like to help him if I can.

How do you handle this when using H&R Block. This program will flag the w2 as an error if 0 or nothing is put in the withholding blanks.

I put a 1 in the Federal and State with holding and it seems to take it. But after entering the info it comes back saying its from 2008 tax info with is incorrect.
