with a remedy for their materialistic ways and pressuring their husbands to have the family live beyond their means?
Recently, I had lunch with a girlfriend of mine who was complaining she needs to keep her job instead of being a SAHM. But she is the same person who pushed and pushed her husband so they could buy a custom built house north or 0k. Does she (and most women) confuse their "need" to work with subsidizing her excessive lifestyle?
In other words, isn’t it an insult to compare her need to work, with that of a lower income family who needs a 2nd income to get by and put food on the table with her "need" to live high on the hog?
Rio – the 0k part, you may be right, but the general premise is solid. We women do seem to like to push the envelope (or exceed it) of our financial resources for material gain.
Rio – Surely you aren’t implying men are anywhere as materialistic as a whole as we are!?
