Serious tampon trouble? WOMEN ONLY?

Ok, so I was a pad user for a long time, and tried very often to use tampons. I just couldnt get it in; i couldn’t insert AT ALL. Finally, after much lubricant, it slid in easy peasy. Now, I am practically a sliding pro. Ok, not really, i cant tell if its cold or painful. Anyway, I read that you are supposed to aim for your low back, so I did. Thinking I was successful, I stood up, only to find it uncomfortable. I had also read this means that it was not inserted far enough. So, I pulled it out, which proved to be a somewhat painful experience because the thing was still dry (i am using Playtex gentle glide with plastic applicator, smallest size possible). Ok, so i used another, and made sure to push this one further, but still no success, and frank discomfort. I once again pulled it out. Throughout today, I have tried about a million times! I have tried again and again not only because I am persistant, but also my flow was so heavy, i couldnt stand using pads. Its the end of the day now, and I yet to have inserted a tampon that i could wear for more than a minute. Is it the angle? I have pointed toward my low back, and it doesnt work. Is it the depth? I have inserted until my fingers touched my body, and further, as instructed. Any tips as to how to tell when it is far enough? And lastly, throuhgout the day, removal has become more and more painful. At first, not so bad, but it has gotten worse and worse. This last tampon, no matter how hard i pulled, it did not come out, and i was yelping in pain. I had to jump in the shower and get water all over to finally pull it out. Now, i am left discouraged with a sore vagina. How can i insert it so it is comfortable? Any tips besides the finger to body to tell how far to go? And what is the right angle? I am really depressed and in pain. It is a vicious cycle; heavy flow, insert, discomfort, try to pull out only to find more pain, and put right back to using pads again.

Can still feel the tampon?

I’m 16 and today was my first day using a tampon, after trying for almost a year now. I finally got it in, and I used Tampax Pearl Lites. I can still feel it, and it hurts a little bit. I pushed the applicator far enough in I think, I pushed until my fingers touched my body, and then I pushed the smaller tube inside the larger one. It kind of feels like I have to pee, but I don’t. I can feel it inside when I walk and sit down but idk if that’s just because its my VERY first time using one, and it needs some getting used to….or because I didn’t put it far enough in? I have thought about trying Playtex Gentle Glide so maybe it wouldn’t hurt as much since Tampax only opens widthwise, and maybe it would hurt less. I am going to try taking it out in a couple of hours but I just need advice for the future times! Thankkkkk you :)
any suggestions on the tampon brand that I should try using next time? or any good advice period!

Tampon question?

it doesnt hurt when i acctually put the applicator in, and i always put in till my fingers touch my body and the push the longer skinny part. but when i do that its really uncomfortable feeling-almost hurts. then the rest of the time that i have it in it doesnt hurt at all.

last night i fell asleep with one in by accident and when i woke up and relized it then i took it out right away. it was only about 9 hours.
:/
and i put another one in and this one hurt way more than normal, again it didnt hurt when i pushed the applicator in, but when i pushed the longer skinny part, the upper part of my vagina stung/ felt sore.
it still feels a little sore too.
what should i do?
is this normal?

Tampon Problem!!!?

Okay when I put in a tampon it doesn’t hurt or feel uncomfortable at all. But when I start to walk around or sit I feel some pain at the entrance of my vagina, like the string is rubbing on it, making it very uncomfortable to move. I know i’m putting the tampon in far enough because I insert the applicator all the way until my fingers touch my body and then I push it up a little bit more after that so I know it’s in far enough. I don’t know what to do.I don’t feel the actual tampon inside or feel pain from that area just at the opening. I would like to use tampons because pads are very inconvienent at times and other obvious reasons. Any advice? Something i’m missing?? Thanks
I already use tampax pearl and it is very easy to insert. Like I said I don’t think it’s the actual tampon itself because I don’t feel any pain from that general area and I put it in far enough. It’s just the opening that feels pain. And right after I take it out it goes away instantly.
I use the regular ones, but I guess I could go down a size or two and see how that goes. Thanks for all the responses!
I tried moving the string forward also but I guess it still rubs on me…I guess I’ll have to cut the strings a little short.

I desperatley need help with tampons!!?

Everytime I try to put in a tampon, it only goes in a little bit, and won’t go in any further. I know that it is supposed to go in up to the finger grip ridges, untill my fingers touch my body. It only goes up to half the applicator. I try to push it in further, but it hurts really bad. Is it supposed to hurt after a certain point? I know that I am putting it in the right hole. I just don’t understand why it isn’t going in. Even when I push the tampon really hard, it still doesn’t go in all the way. Am I supposed to push it really hard? I really don’t want to hurt myself.

Girls ONLY?

When I use a tampon, it hurts for the insertion at first, cuz i do it slow, but then after a while i dont feel it, is it supposed to hurt during the insertion? btw, im 13 and this is my first time. Another question, it seems to be that when I put the applicator in, and my fingers are touching my body I can’t seem to push the button thing with my index finger, i dont know why. i tried it with my other hand…and nothing. i checked it before i put it in…im holding it with my thumb and middle finger…and it just wont go on when i push the button. what am i doing wrong? and when I insert the tampon, am I supposed to go slow or fast?

This is all new to me….I’m not used to sticking things up there…it doesnt seem right at all…It really hurts in the beginning, of the insertion but after going farther its okay…is it supposed to hurt? i dont wanna go thru that pain EVERY single time.

another tampon question?

How far in are you supposed to put the applicator? Like, in directions and stuff it says "the tip" but I’ve also heard that you should put it in until your fingers touch your body (like, where you are gripping).
and by "the tip" i suppose it means the length of the actual tampon inside?

nail biting situationnnnnnnn!

okay I don’t bit my nails.. but my sister does and it is getting to be ridiculous.. shes 19 and shes totally fine with friends and social issues so I don’t think its a nervous habit or anything.. but shes gotten to the point where she bites the skin.. and her fingers don’t look healty at all. What are ways other than putting like gross tasting things on your nails to help stop biting them. I mean I’m talking hypnotizing and like puncture or whatever it is when they put needles in you haha.. Would that sort of thing work for this nail biting situation??
i didn’t mean to put this in skin conditions.. haha i don’t know how to switch it now that i posted it….
