dry, frizzy, oily, nappy headed, kinky, long hair…i need help with this mop of a head?
im lookin for something good for my hair.
i used to have long silky curly hair that i dyed blond growing up.
but its been 8 years since i died it.
last year i started becoming more stressed at work and my hair started falling out.
i think gaining weight back and forth along with an unhealthy diet also did its work as well.
i was scared to wash it in the shower because of the rapid loss.
all around except for the crown became thinner.
you really cant tell and it doesnt look noticable thankfully.
but my hair is just out of whack.
its all the way to my lower back, i had it cut about 8 inches about 3 months ago and it just filled back into place.
but i have patches of hair that are growing back so now my hair went from big luscious curls to flat kinky frizzy hair.
i have more hair on top then i do on the bottom and when i grab my hair in a pony tail i only grab a dime size of thickness when it used to be roundly thick as a 50 cent coin.
even when i straighten my hair which i rarely do, i just end up getting hot and it frizzes out and looks horrible.
when i get out of the shower its still dry.
infusium 23 leave in moisturizer has been a good product so far but the shampoo makes my head itch with dryscalp.
but the product only does so much as to put a shine to it.
i tried garnier shampoo, conditioner and leave in conditioner. still nothing but dry frizz.
then to make my hairstay in place i tried gels such as LA and suave.
my hair is not like it used to be, it makes me feel ugly half the time because i feel like hair brings out the features in you face and when you got a nappy head then thats all they see.
whats the best product to put in my hair to make it shine, moisturized and managable without knots, or dryness and doesnt break.
i have latin and german hair.
its very fine hair.
my hair doesnt look right short because of the roundness of my face.
anyone got any good product that are founf in just about any store?

Hello Timberl, sorry being a guy I am not much help but had a chat with my daughter who is a hair dresser and she advises you go to a reputable hair salon who will know what the best treatment is, including if there is a problem with your scalp

Hello Hydration – Herbal Essences. It moisturizes your hair to make it shine.
Go to a salon and tell them the problem of your hair, they have something to make it better.

Take it from someone who has destroyed their hair, get rid of the ponytail holder. It is breaking your hair off. I would recommend using Olive Oil which you should be able to find in any beauty supply store like Sally’s or Beauty Mart. Gel is another disaster case for your hair. You want to stay as natural as possible. I didn’t see anywhere you use moisturizer or oils in your hair. When you oils, you want use natural oils, like olive, shea butter….along those lines. You should deep condition your hair once a week. This means leaving conditioner in you hair for 15min-30 min and to intensify the conditioning, do it under a dryer. If you can afford to go to a hair stylist, I would recommend you go once a week or at least once a month if money is an issue. A good stylist can get your hair back to health in no time. I’m not latin or german but I asked a friend who is latin and she recommend you search home remedies for dry hair online. She not sure of the exact recipe but she remembered reading something about 3 egg whites and olive oil. Good luck on your hair!
